Students and Alumni

The Interdisciplinary Master’s Program in Applied Human and Social Sciences, based at the School of Applied Sciences (FCA) on the Limeira campus of the University of Campinas (Unicamp), is part of the Interdisciplinary Evaluation Area of Capes' Evaluation Directorate. It is organized around a single concentration area, Modernity and Public Policies, which unfolds into two research lines:

  1. Sustainability and Social Protection
  2. Technological Change and the Human Condition

The program is designed for students, researchers, and professionals from various fields of knowledge who are open to an interdisciplinary academic experience grounded in the applied human and social sciences. The program has a total of 116 alumni, including 18 graduates in 2024.

Currently, there are 65 enrolled students, including special students who work directly with faculty members.

Alumni Tracking and Social Impact: Strategies of the ICHSA Master’s Program

ICHSA is committed to the continuous monitoring of its alumni and the evaluation of their social impact. To this end, the program employs several organized and integrated strategies to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the professional and social trajectories of former students. Key initiatives include:

1. Periodic Surveys and Questionnaires

At regular intervals, the program sends surveys to its alumni. These surveys collect data on employability, professional activity, continued education, and alumni perceptions of the master's program’s impact on their personal and professional paths.

2. Social Media and Virtual Communities

ICHSA encourages the formation of alumni networks through platforms such as LinkedIn and other social media. These virtual communities foster the sharing of experiences, opportunities, and achievements, while also maintaining active ties with the university.

3. Alumni Database

The program maintains an up-to-date database containing information on alumni’s professional fields, job positions, locations, and projects. This resource supports more accurate analysis of professional trends and the social contributions made by alumni.

4. Monitoring of Academic and Technical Output

ICHSA also tracks the academic and technical output of its alumni, including published articles, developed projects, and leadership positions. This monitoring helps assess the program’s impact in scientific, social, and professional spheres.
