The Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA) was opened in the city of Limeira, at the beginning of 2009, with two main commitments: interdisciplinarity and the application of the knowledge conveyed by it.

FCA offers six undergraduate courses in the areas of Administration, Engineering and Health:

Our undergraduate courses are based on a methodological unit that presupposes interdisciplinarity because our project understands that interaction with the real world does not occur through areas of pure knowledge. In this interdisciplinary pedagogical perspective, the FCA formation process is directly associated with the permanent search for the application of knowledge and research. In addition to the specific subjects of each course, our students' training includes subjects from the Common General Core (NGC) and classes from the Area Cores.

The Common General Core aims to seek humanistic training to qualify a professional capable of dealing with the multiple and rapid transformations of reality, aware of their social role and able to intervene in society to transform it according to the needs of our time.

In the Health Area Center, classes cover the areas of biology and collective health, providing the basis for specific training in the Nutrition and Sports Science Courses. The set of classes at this Center offers theoretical references, methodologies and the exercise of interdisciplinarity, in order to prepare students for professional performance, with technical skills, critical thinking and humanistic competence.

The Engineering Area Center aims to contribute mainly to the more technical part of professional training, participating in different ways in all courses at the Faculty of Applied Sciences. In Education, he is responsible for mathematics classes, such as Calculus (I, II and III), Linear Algebra, Analytical Geometry, Probability and Statistics and also specific classes that include Data Improvement, Simulation and Analysis.

The Administration Area Center brings together classes dominated by the two courses in the areas of General Administration, Economics, Accounting and Financial Law, Operations and Quantitative Methods. This content prepares you for professional performance and presents approaches, tools and practices in an interdisciplinary way.
