The Program

 

 

The Postgraduate Program in Nutrition Sciences and Sports and Metabolism (PPG-CNEM), offers course stricto sensu at master's and doctorate level. It has two areas of concentration and two lines of research focused on the current challenges of knowledge production in the areas of Food and Nutrition, Metabolism and Physical Activity.

The courses were implemented in 2011 (Master's) and 2013 (Doctorate), with recommendation and recognition by CAPES. The teachers of PPG-CNEM works in innovative projects of institutional research and extension, in collaboration with national and international institutions, being one of the marks of the program, the concern with academic excellence.

The main objective of the program is the training of masters and PhDs committed to professional ethics, multidisciplinary vision, critical sense and responsibility to society and the advancement of knowledge in the health area. The program seeks the solid formation of human resources, highly trained and multipliers of teaching and research, through the use of the scientific method. Also, they have intellectual independence and commitment to scientific dissemination and who are able to act as critical citizens and aware of their role as health professionals.

The target audience of the program is professionals such as nutritionists, sports scientists, physical education professionals, biologists, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, doctors, dentists, veterinarians, as well as professionals in the areas of exact and human who can interact in a multidisciplinary way with the research lines of the program.
