We investigate the molecular mechanisms and cellular adaptations involved in skeletal muscle regeneration. Our main objective is to understand pathways related to the control of mitochondrial population and nutrients that can influence the regenerative process.

Using molecular biology and tissue/cell detection techniques we aim to describe new ways to improve skeletal muscle regeneration and recovery of muscle mass.
